Donewell Flooring - Website Rebrand

In this project, I led the redesign of a flooring website to create a more professional online brand. I focused on aligning with contemporary design standards, enhancing user engagement through intuitive navigation and compelling visuals, while emphasizing a clearer call to action for increased lead submissions.

The Goal

To modernize the website, create a more professional brand presence and, ultimately, generate increased contact lead submissions.

The Problems

Outdated and Unresponsive UI

The design was outdated and did not align with the newest company logo or colours. It was also difficult to use on smaller devices, despite majority of traffic being on mobile.

Cluttered Navigation

The site lacked clear navigation and appropriate hierarchy, making it challenging for users to find critical pages, such as the image gallery and contact form.

Missing Clear Call to Action

The absence of a clear call to action resulted in missed lead opportunities.

The Design Process

Client Meeting & Audit

To begin the project, I engaged in client meetings to understand the core objectives and requirements.  I conducted an audit on the site to identify key problem areas. Additionally, a thorough competitive audit allowed me to explore industry standards and uncover opportunities for innovation within the site.

Information Architecture & Wireframes

I laid out the site structure based on core pages required. I prioritized these sections in the global navigation based on site click metrics and user goals, while balancing business goals.

Then I built wireframes for each page. On the homepage, I highlighted the core services, image gallery and contact form, and created stronger brand messaging.

Mockups

After several design revisions, I created branded mockups across mobile, tablet and desktop viewports that were given final approval from stakeholders.

After several design revisions, I created branded mockups across mobile and desktop that were given final approval from the client. As requested by the client, I utilized Wix.com to build out the site.

Final Outcome

The final website ultimately achieved the goals of creating a modernized and cohesive brand experience. The modifications made to the site information architecture and homepage layout lead to increased visits to the gallery and lead submissions.
